A note from the owner of South Side Solar, Kurt Dieringer
I grew up as a country kid, but not too far from the newly-connected modern world. We were taught to respect the land, the water, and the air, and that the Earth will continue taking care of us as long as we take tender care with our dominion over it, as God has ordained.
I was also taught that technology can do amazing things, and that the 1970s Oil Crisis was a wake-up call not only to our dependence on oil but to the waste happening throughout the US economy. Further, I was taught that you have to bring value to expect to be paid.
These things haven’t really changed, but what has changed is how clean energy solutions are finally in our grasp. Indeed, they’re here now, well-established and profitable for those who use them. What began as science projects in “alternative energy” (solar, batteries and wind) now accounts for over 90% of new electric generating capacity in the US (EIA).
As with any new technology, it takes countless cycles of growth to drive cost savings, then improvements, and further uptake until early adopters give way to those who buy on price. Solar is not winning because of government subsidies, mandates or even environmental regulations anymore; it’s winning because it’s the best, cheapest, cleanest, fastest-to-deploy source of energy.
People are tired of drilling, digging and blowing up the Earth just to burn it into its own atmosphere, but mostly they just don’t want to pay more to do that.

Kurt Dieringer has been working in the solar industry since 2017, fulfilling responsibilities in technical design, sales, installation and project management through various roles. South Side Solar was born in 2019 as Beloved Sun LLC, initially a side gig installing systems for friends and family. It has since become a growing business helping Central Ohio homeowners and small businesses take control of their energy costs by providing solar solutions that are simple, secure, and synergistic.

WHAT TO EXPECT WORKING WITH US
4 Steps to Going Solar
We're here with you through the entire process. It all starts with a conversation.
1. Free Consultation
Solar can seem complicated. We help make it simple and answer all your questions, including reviewing financing options and what they mean to your wallet.
2. Site Survey
We will double-check all structural and electrical technical details pertaining to your site environment so your project goes off without a hitch.
3. Design and Paperwork
This step takes the most time. We engineer final designs and obtain all necessary permissions from the utility and local jurisdictions, so you don’t have to worry.
4. Installation and Instruction
Once fully approved, we’ll work with you to schedule a convenient time for installation. We help you understand how utility billing will work, and how to use the monitoring tools. If you have a battery system, you will also be trained how to use it during a power outage.
